I pod Nano And Apple Ipod Information

You are the proud owner of a new apple nano i Pod. Congratulations! You are about to embark into the world of digital media as it was meant to be. There is just one thing you have to do first. You have to set up your iPod and computer so you can begin using it.

The first thing you will need to do is download the iTunes application. You can do this on either Windows or Mac. If you are installing the program into Windows, you will notice an iTunes Setup icon on your desktop when the download is complete. You will need to click on this to start installing the program. Follow the instructions, and answer any questions that you are prompted to answer. If you want iTunes to be the program that your computer automatically turns to when handling audio files, choose it as your default player. You also want to choose the Apple Software Update, as this will insure that iTunes is automatically updated when needed. Installing the program on a Mac is very similar.

Once the program is installed, you will need to load it with music. If you have CDs you want to import to your iPod, start by adding them to the iTunes library. You can also set up your iTunes Store account at this time, which will allow you to purchase songs online. Organize your songs into playlists in the library to make it easy to download them to your iPod.

Once you have the songs you want in your iTunes library, you are ready to import them to your iPod. Simply connect the device to the computer using the USB cable it came with when you purchased it and follow the setup instructions.

At this point, iTunes will sync with your iPod and begin to automatically download all of the songs you have imported to your iPod. If you have a lot of songs, this will take a while. Feel free to leave the computer while your music downloads. Avoid using iTunes during the download, but you can use other programs on the computer.

That is all you need to do. You have successfully completed the first sync on your iPod, and the songs are ready to go. The next time you connect your iPod to that computer, it will automatically sync and download any new songs other audio files that are in your iTunes application. You can change this if you wish to manually upload the songs. As you can see, getting your iPod ready for its first use is very easy!
